Collaboration of the Summer Incoming….
Meet Me Where I’m At: Forest City Gallery (MMWIA : FCG) | Now Until October 1
I am beyond excited to finally launch MMWIA : FCG. It’s been a long time in the cooker. If an artist can indulge in multidisciplinary autobiography, this is it for me. None of you know me in my full self: as an artist, an educator, a counsellor, an architect, and a community / place builder. I’ve literally, spent a lifetime gathering myself together for this opportunity.
They say that things have a way of coming back around if you let them. That everything happens for a reason. That things happen for you, not to you. I’ve never doubted that, but I have to say, others may have doubted the connecting thread at times!
MMWIA : FCG runs from now through the beginning of October. Phase 1 of the project is for gathering data, and I would love for you all to join me as co-researchers. The raw data we assemble provides the scope, context and colour for the Phase 2 studio work I will be producing, live at Forest City Gallery, during the month of September.
The artwork created becomes the standing record of our growing social cohesion and of a networked community resilience. The artwork will act as a lab record for our research. There will be more information coming about the art I have planned, particular gallery activities, and a schedule of my studio work dates.
I’ve selected a site in London shown on the map below:

There are lots of ways you can join with other co-researchers to gather data:
Follow along on socials (Leigh Jeneroux Art Instagram & Meet Me Where I'm At Instagram)
Explore our selected outdoor site — Ross Park, in London, Ontario (Where we'll be for the next 10 weeks) I divided the site in three distinct areas—each with a distinct character. There’s something at Ross Park for everyone. Assess, explore, critique any or all of them.
Visit Ross Park alone, as a family or with a group for enjoyment and research. I have selected three sites at The Park with distinctly different characters.
Upload your raw data through the form on my website leighjeneroux.com , by Instagram DM, or by email to Info@leighjeneroux.com or MMWIA@leighjeneroux.com (Submission of data implies consent for me to use the data directly or in support of the final artwork. Identifying features will be obscured. All submitted content will be cited, in final work.)
Follow the QR codes on the map below for exact site locations.
